A teenage cyclist has set a new junior world record, and clinched two gold medals, on the European stage.
Abi Miller, 17, from York, achieved the feat at the 2025 UEC Track Juniors & U23 European Championships in Anadia, Portugal, where she competed for Team GB and secured gold in both the Team Pursuit and Madison events.

In the Team Pursuit, she and teammates Erin Boothman, Evie Smith, Phoebe Taylor, and Arabella Blackburn beat Italy in the final and set a junior world record with a time of 4:20:376.
Abi went on to win a second gold in the Madison track cycling event alongside teammate Erin Boothman.
Now riding as a junior for the Tofauti Everyone Active Majaco Team, Abi started cycling at the age of seven with Clifton Cycling Club.
She continues to balance her cycling ambitions with her studies at Fulford School, where she is taking her A Levels.
Abi said: “I’m so passionate about cycling.

“I feel very lucky!
“I also love cycling as part of a women’s team and have been able to go to lots of great places.
“Spending time with Olympians and sportspeople is inspiring.”
Abi is working with Team GB on the female Olympic Development Squad (which is part of British Cycling), and is now aiming for selection to represent Team GB at the UCI Junior Track Cycling World Championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, in August 2025.
