What are your thoughts about stacking the 5-round fight in cash games?
Moneyball16: It’s not the best fight to stack in cash I’ve ever seen, with low odds to go the full 5 rounds, and I don’t expect a great pace, but I will still be stacking this one in cash. Getting the floor that comes with stacking is always nice, and both fighters just seem like much better cash options than the fighters with similar salaries. The low-salary cash options outside of Reyes are really weak, and I don’t love the non-Ulberg pay-up options either. I’d play both of these guys and then pick through the fighters priced in between them.
Bward586: With the total rounds in the main event set at 2.5 rounds—and the under favored—this one is far from a must-stack. Ulberg has turned in consecutive disappointing DFS scores since stepping up to higher-level competition and seems unlikely to bury you relative to his salary. For that reason, I’m likely going to take the unorthodox approach of just rostering Reyes. He could easily fail, but so could anyone else in his price range, while there are better options than Ulberg at the top.
LiamPicksFights: I don’t like the idea of stacking this main event. Reyes has scored as few as 2 fantasy points in a loss against Ryan Spann, and he hasn’t been in an extended fight since he lost to Jon Jones 5 years ago. If Ulberg dictates the action or lands a finishing blow, it will limit Reyes’ scoring ability. I would pick a side in this main event, as both men have proven they have upside for 100+ points. Ulberg has put up 97+ points in 5 of his 8 UFC wins, and Reyes has put up 100+ points in 7 of his 9 UFC wins.
