TNA Wrestling Championship Vacated, WWE Star Wins Vacant Title

TNA Wrestling

A top championship in TNA Wrestling has been vacated, as announced at tonight’s Victory Road event in Edmonton.

UPDATE: It was Kelani Jordan who scored the win and is now the TNA Knockouts World Champion, meaning both TNA World Titles are now in the hands of WWE NXT once again.

Ahead of the show tonight, it was confirmed that TNA Knockouts World Champion Ash By Elegance would be making an announcement.

She’s now made that announcement, which is that she’s relinquishing the title. She said:

“Unfortunately, as you know, life throws you some curveballs, and that’s exactly what I’m going through.

“I’m no longer able to compete and do what I love to do. So with that being said, I’m stepping away from in-ring competition.

“And with a heavy heart, I have to forfeit this title.”

Ash won the TNA Wrestling Knockouts World Title from Jacy Jayne at WWE NXT Heatwave just over a month ago.

The new champion will be crowned tonight – the last two participants in a battle royal will have a singles match for the championship. UPDATE: Those two women will be Lei Ying Lee and NXT’s Kelani Jordan.
