For the second year in a row, the BC Lions will host a Canadian Football League (CFL) pre-season game at Starlight Stadium in Langford.

The team made the announcement during their 27-22 win Friday night over the Toronto Argonauts.

With Vancouver among the host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Lions will be forced out of their home at BC Place for part of their 2026 season.

The Lions also announced that they will play two regular-season games in Kelowna.

The Lions hosted the Calgary Stampeders for a pre-season game at Starlight Stadium on May 19, in front of a sell-out crowd.

In announcing the ‘Lions in Langford’ event, the club says the venue holds 6,100 fans, and “the field will be set up to meet CFL regulations.”

The Lions say tickets for the exhibition game will not go on sale until early 2026, adding that “with the limited capacity in Langford, your best opportunity to attend these games will be as a 2026 Season Ticket Holder, who will be receiving priority pre-sale access to these games well before the general public.”
