Dominik Mysterio’s double title reign just got a little more complicated.
After winning the AAA Mega Championship from El Hijo del Vikingo at Worlds Collide on September 12, Dirty Dom has been walking around with both the AAA and WWE Intercontinental Titles. But now, his next challenger south of the border has been locked in—and it’s someone he knows very well.
Dragon Lee is officially set to challenge Dominik for the AAA Mega Championship at Heroes Immortales on October 25. The announcement came following Dragon Lee’s win at the September 27 AAA Alianzas show, where he defeated El Grande Americano and Vikingo in a #1 Contender’s Triple Threat match.
The full results from the AAA Alianzas event include:
Pimpinela, La Hiedra, Mr. Iguana & Mascarita Sagrada def. Lince Dorado, Taurus, Mini Abismo Negro & Dallys La Parka def. Sansón Niño Hamburguesa, Octagon Jr. & Laredo Kid def. Takuma Fujiwara, Nobu San & SB Kento Psycho Clown & Pagano (c) def. El Mesías & Mecha Wolf – AAA Tag Team Championship Faby Apache def. Lady Flammer Dragon Lee def. El Grande Americano & Hijo del Vikingo – #1 Contender’s Match for AAA Mega Championship
Meanwhile, Dominik’s schedule shows no signs of slowing down. He’s set to defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Rusev on the September 29 edition of Monday Night Raw. Dom captured that title back at WrestleMania, winning a fatal four-way over Finn Balor, Penta, and then-champion Bron Breakker.
Now holding gold in two companies, Dominik Mysterio has a lot to lose heading into October—and Dragon Lee is waiting for him in Mexico.
