With Week 4 of the NFL season in the books, there are already a few head coaches on the hot seat.

Mike McDaniel of the Miami Dolphins has faced a lot of pressure since the start of the 2025 season, but he picked up a much-needed win on Monday night against the New York Jets. Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan, however, continues to face heat for his lack of success. His squad is 0-4 heading into Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.

While it’s possible both McDaniel and Callahan will get the boot over the next four months, it appears Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor is under heavy fire this week.

The Bengals suffered a 28-3 loss to the Denver Broncos on Monday night. They gave up 512 total yards and were penalized 11 times. Not only did the defense struggle, backup quarterback Jake Browning failed to move the chains at a respectable rate. They were just 2-of-11 on third-down conversions.

Following the Bengals’ loss to the Broncos, their fans expressed their displeasure with Taylor. They believe it’s time to make a coaching change.

“If we don’t win another game all season and it means we fire Zac Taylor, I’ll suffer through it for the greater good,” a Bengals fan said.

“Last night was the first time since 2020 (after Joe’s injury) that I turned a Bengals game off mid-game,” a second fan wrote on X. “That should be telling. Fire Zac Taylor.”

“The Bengals offense is averaging 15.25 points per game, while the defense is allowing an average of 29.75 points per game. That is a two-touchdown margin. Fire Zac Taylor,” another Cincinnati fan commented.

Is Taylor actually on the hot seat?

Coming into September, most NFL fans assumed it’d be playoffs or bust for Taylor. After all, he hasn’t been to the playoff since the 2022 season.

There’s no question Joe Burrow’s injury complications matters. The Bengals are at a serious disadvantage with him on the sideline. That being said, Taylor has to find ways to win games.

If the Bengals continue to struggle offensively, the front office will have no choice but to move on from Taylor.
