STEUBENVILLE, Ohio–The Westminster College women’s tennis team was dealt 7-0 loss at Franciscan Tuesday afternoon at the Belleview Tennis Courts.
Westminster dropped to 3-6 overall and 2-5 in the PAC. Franciscan improved to 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the PAC.
Westminster forfeited at No. 3 doubles and No. 5 and 6 singles, giving Franciscan a 3-0 lead after sweeping the two contested doubles matches.
Senior Grace Askey (Dubois, Pa., Jeff Tech) took Franciscan’s Lauren Schoenberger to three sets at No. 4 singles. Schoenberger came away with a 4-6, 6-1, 10-5 win.
