Sutjeska’s players have had a hard time winning points away from home this season, and that was the case tonight in the 10th round of the MeridianBet First Montenegrin Football League – the Nikšić team lost to Mornar in Bar (1:0), which was taken advantage of by Dečić, who defeated Mladost Lob.Bet (2:1), and tied with Milija Savović’s team in the standings.
Sutjeska defeated Buducnost (1:0) away from home in the second round, then drew once (with Jedinstvo in Bijelo Polje), and tonight suffered their third away defeat this season. So, only four points away from home this season for the “blues” from Nikšić, or a single point since the triumph against Buducnost.
On the other hand, Mornar has tied its fifth match without a defeat and announced its escape from the lower house. Since Vesko Stešević arrived in Bar, Mornar is undefeated – it has two wins and three draws.
The decisive goal at “Topolica” was scored in the sixth minute – Nikola Stijepović crossed from the left, Darko Zorić headed the ball to Stefan Denković, and the former Sutjeska player (played in the 2017/2018 season) beat Vladan Giljen.
Sutjeska first threatened midway through the first half, when Balša Tošković shot wide of the goal, and then Medo Juković hit the crossbar from about 25 meters.
Marko Šimun threatened from a free kick, and after his attempt, Mornar could have scored a second goal, when Luka Malešević crossed the ball from the right side, and Balša Dubljević shot over the goal from about 11 meters.
At the end of the first half, Andrija Ražnatović poorly caught a volley after a cross from Vasilije Čavor, and then Ražnatović was inaccurate at the beginning of the second half.
Mornar also had two more great opportunities to score a second goal, Petar Vukčević and Jan Mišel Jao could have solved everything in the finish, but Vladan Giljen, who has been excellent this season, was sure of the goal.
In the final minutes, Demir Škrijelj was sent off for two yellow cards, and he received a second card for simulation.
Dečić defeated Mladost Lob.Bet 2:1 at the “DG Arena” and registered a victory after two matches. On the other hand, Mladost suffered its fourth defeat in the last five matches, and in that period it only defeated Arsenal.
Nebojša Jandrić’s team took the lead in the 17th minute – Trimror Selimi was brought down in the penalty area, the guests were awarded a penalty, and Draško Božović was safe from 11 meters.
In the 27th minute, the guests had a great opportunity, Balša Radusinović went alone in front of goalkeeper Petar Radulović, lobbed him, but the ball ended up wide of the goal.
After that, Selimi also had a great chance, and in that situation, Luka Uskoković cleared the ball off the goal line.
Dečić scored his second goal in the 64th minute – Jonathan Dresaj passed down the right side, shot, Radulović saved, and the ball bounced to Asmir Kajević, who scored the goal.
In the final minutes, Mladost reduced the deficit when Nikola Pavlićević won a penalty, and Dušan Vuković was sure from 11 meters.
Petrovac defeated Bokelj SBBet away (2:1), so after this round they are two points behind Sutjeska and Dečić.
The team from Petrovac took the lead in the 53rd minute, when Savo Arambašić brilliantly scored from about 25 meters, and in the 64th minute Žarko Popović scored from the penalty spot for 2:0, after Saša Balić played with his hand.
Bokelj reduced the deficit from the penalty spot, and the scorer was Igor Poček. Previously, Marko Franeta had played with a handball.
There were no goals in the match between Jedinstvo France and Arsenal in Bijelo Polje.
The round at 20pm will be closed by Budućnost and Jezero. The current champion has a chance to get closer to the leading teams, all before the derby in Nikšić in the next round.
