The annual event brings together local businesses, professionals and community members in a fun and relaxed setting

The Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce is continuing its efforts in strengthening the local business community—this time, through sport.

On Saturday, July 26, the chamber is hosting its annual Golf Scramble at the Prince Rupert Golf Club for both seasoned golfers and those just looking for a fun day out with friends, family and colleagues. Beyond the competition, the event serves as one of the chamber’s key networking opportunities of the year.

“It brings together local businesses, professionals and community members in a relaxed, informal setting, offering the chance to build relationships, exchange ideas and support one another in business and beyond,” chamber executive director Devika Babu said.

The scramble will also include a $50,000 hole-in-one challenge, in-game contests with exciting prizes, door prizes and a buffet lunch catered by Chef Neup’s Kitchen.

“The event promises great memories and even better prizes,” Babu said. “In short, it’s more than a day of golf—it’s a celebration of community spirit and local partnership.”

The cost to participate is $400 for a team of four, or $125 individually. With only 18 spots left, space is limited and filling up fast, she said.

Funds raised from the tournament help the chamber to deliver programs and initiatives that foster growth, collaboration and advocacy for businesses throughout Prince Rupert.
