Conference play is in full swing, and several standout teams and players have emerged across the country. Here are the top points leaders in men’s soccer with a few weeks left of the regular season:
1. Donavan Phillip, NC State, Junior (on the right in the picture above) — 14 goals, 1 assist, 29 points
Phillip has been the most prolific finisher in the country so far, leading Division I soccer with 14 goals. The Wolfpack forward, who was selected as the 62nd overall pick (third round, pick two) by the Colorado Rapids in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft, has shown a ruthless edge in front of goal, consistently converting chances to keep NC State’s attack among the most dangerous in the country.
2. Marius Stenner, Delaware, Sophomore — 11 goals, 4 assists, 26 points
Stenner’s efficiency has been key for Delaware, as the sophomore striker continues to build on a breakout freshman campaign that earned him the 2024 CAA Rookie of the Year honor. With four assists complementing his 11 goals, he has emerged as a central piece of the Blue Hens’ offense and a player to watch in Delaware’s first season in the Summit League.
3. Edouard Nys, UIC, Junior — 9 goals, 5 assists, 23 points
Nys has been a dual threat for UIC, combining his scoring touch with vision in the final third. The former NJCAA Division II National Player of the Year has quickly proven he can make the jump to Division I, showcasing the same blend of goal scoring and playmaking that defined his record-setting season at the junior college level. His ability to both finish and set up teammates has made him one of the most complete attacking players in the Missouri Valley Conference.
4. Zach Zengue, Georgetown, Senior — 9 goals, 4 assists, 22 points
Zengue has been a driving force for Georgetown’s attack, pairing nine goals with four assists to keep the Hoyas among the nation’s top offenses. A 2024 MLS SuperDraft pick by the Columbus Crew (second round, 29th overall) and a First Team All-BIG EAST honoree in 2024, the senior has built on his resume with another standout season so far, providing both experience and production in the final third.
5. Ransford Gyan, Clemson, Sophomore — 8 goals, 6 assists, 22 points
Gyan’s dynamic play has provided Clemson with both pace and creativity in the attack. The 2024 ACC Freshman of the Year has an instinct for exposing defenses, and his contributions have been crucial in the Tigers’ pursuit of another strong postseason run.
