MONMOUTH, ILL. – Men’s Tennis wrapped up their fall slate Friday with a trip down south. They took on the Monmouth Scots in nonconference action. The Eagles (2-2) concluded their 2025 on a high note, sweeping the Scots (1-3) 7-0.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
– Edgewood University put together a set of strong doubles matches to earn the doubles point. Marek Woytasik and Ryder Broadbridge teamed up for a 6-2 victory in no. 1 doubles, while Andrew Hoffmann and Ryan Casey clinched the point with a 6-2 final in third billing.
 
Justin Hutchcroft and Jon Olafsson paired together for a 6-4 win in the second slot.
 
– The Eagles kept the good times rolling into singles. Broadbridge kicked things off with a 6-1, 6-1 victory in top billing before Olafsson put together a 6-3, 6-0 showing in no. 2 singles.
 
– Hutchcroft and Woytasik kept the sweep alive with 6-1, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-3 victories in the third and fourth slots respectively.
 
– Hoffmann and Casey wrapped up the day on a high note. Hoffmann won 6-2, 6-2 in the fifth slot. Casey put a bow on the clean slate with a 6-0, 6-0 tally in no. 6 singles.
