Earlier this week, Minnesota signed star winger Kirill Kaprizov to a massive eight-year, $136 million deal, featuring a record-breaking $17 million cap hit.

The 27-year-old Swede is coming off a career season in 2024-25, posting a 31-19-6 record alongside a 2.56 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage with five shutouts.

Gustavsson had a 2.71 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage over six playoff games.

Selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round of the 2016 NHL Draft, Gustavsson is entering the sixth season of his NHL career, and his fourth with the Wild.

Gustavsson spent two seasons with the Ottawa Senators to start his career, before being traded to the Wild in July 2022.
