Tyler Reddick is on the pole, a good start to a crucial race if he wants to advance to the NASCAR Playoffs Round of 8.

Reddick edged road course guru Shane van Gisbergen to take the pole at the NASCAR Charlotte Roval. Ty Gibbs and Kyle Larson will start on the second row.

Reddick is currently in the bottom four in the Round of 12. A win would guarantee him a berth in the next round.
