There was confusion this week surrounding Dan James after Wales boss Craig Bellamy named the winger in his squad days amid noises from the Leeds camp that James had suffered a significant injury in training.

Farke cleared things up a few moments ago, saying the 27-year-old is out for 4-6 weeks after rolling his ankle in training.

“Realistically, we expect him back more or less in November,” Farke said. “If he were available for one or two before then, it would be a bonus, a surprise. So he’s out for a few weeks, which is not great news”

It’s a bad week to be a Leeds United winger, since Willy Gnonto will also miss the Spurs clash. Leeds were hopeful that a calf strain might have cleared up by now.

Farke said he was “pretty sure” Gnonto would be back in team training next week and back in contention for when the Premier League returns after the international break.

Meanwhile, Harry Gray’s availability is in doubt after the youngster reported some problems with his hip flexor earlier this week, while Lucas Perri is back in training, though not fit to play on Saturday.
