The Warriors and Lakers today face off in a preseason clash of Western Conference powerhouses, looking to build some momentum before the start of the 2025 NBA season.

Both of these teams lost to the Timberwolves in the playoffs, as Golden State fell in the second round and Los Angeles in the first.
Now the Warriors and Lakers look forward to the 2025 season with considerable promise given the star power on both sides.
Golden State still has its trio of veteran studs — Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler — as well as a mix of younger players like Brandin Podziemski, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody.
LA will lean on LeBron James as usual, but the Lakers will get a full season of Luka Doncic running point alongside Austin Reaves at shooting guard. Bronny James could get some run, too, in his second season in the NBA.
