[Week 5 Sunday schedule | Live blog]

The Week 5 afternoon slate has a couple of big matchups between teams looking to separate from the pack. With four in the late window, it should be an action-filled day of NFL football leading up to the New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills on “Sunday Night Football.”

With the completion of the early afternoon window, the Bills are now the last remaining undefeated team after Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos upset the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles held a 17-3 lead over the Broncos heading into the fourth quarter, but the Broncos dropped 18 points in the final quarter to take a 21-17 lead and rid Philly of its undefeated status, unable to mount a comeback on the final drive.

In the early slate, the Dallas Cowboys visited the New York Jets, coming off a thrilling 40-40 tied game against the Green Bay Packers in Week 4, nabbing their second win of the season to keep pace in the NFC East. Despite facing the worst defense in total yards per game (420.5) and the second-worst in scoring defense, allowing 33 points per game, the Jets have been unable to find much rhythm offensively until the game had gotten out of hand, falling to 0-5 as the Cowboys win 37-22.

Among the headliners on this Sunday afternoon are two 3-1 franchises jockeying for position in the NFC, when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Seattle Seahawks. Tampa Bay and Seattle represent two of the five teams sitting at 3-1, looking up at the Eagles, trying to keep pace in the conference. The Buccaneers will be without two offensive stars in RB Bucky Irving and WR Mike Evans, which will force their offensive depth to step up.
