Walton Goggins’ fame reached an even higher plane following his appearance in season 3 of “The White Lotus.”
But with that comes the potential for more backlash.

Comedian Pete Davidson, who knows a thing or two about the highs and lows of fame, issued a warning of sorts to Goggins as he’s riding a popularity high.
“Look at Pedro Pascal right now. Two years ago, he’s a hardworking, great actor… Everyone was like, he’s worked so hard and has been a struggling actor,” Davidson said last week during an appearance on Theo Von’s podcast, adding that then Pascal “fucking blows up so fucking hard.”
“And then a year later, he’s in everything now,” Davidson said, prompting fans to be like ”‘Go the fuck away, dude.’”
Next, “they’re gonna do it with Walton Goggins,” the former “Saturday Night Live” star said, adding that fans are “so fast to turn.”
Goggins heard about Davidson’s comments and responded to them in kind on his Instagram page.

“I saw this article and had to respond. (Pete was talking about his own experience),” Goggins said on Monday, next to a screenshot of an article covering Davidson’s comments.
“Pete we don’t know each other but I appreciate the heads up,” he wrote, later adding that “As a 53 yr old I’m acutely aware that every experience has a shelf life. I appreciate so many of you going on this journey with me. I imagine a lot of you (and I don’t blame you) are tired of hearing my homilies. Trust me I’m tired of saying them.”

“I have a few things coming out that I have an obligation to talk about… not for me mind you, but to honor all of those that worked so hard to bring these stories to fruition,” he added. “So if you see something with my name on it I encourage you not to click on it… unless you want to… and if you do…I appreciate the support.”
Goggins went on to share that “being included in this headline isn’t a curse it’s a blessing.”
“How lucky am I that this is even a possibility?!!” he said.
Goggins, who has been in Hollywood for nearly three decades, seems to have a pretty healthy relationship with fame.
When asked by The Guardian earlier this year if he would “choose fame or anonymity,” the actor had a perfectly breezy response.
“If I can get a reservation at a restaurant that I want to go to, I’ll choose fame,” he quipped.
