Cecilia Brækhus`Best To last!
In a Swan Song Night in Lillestrøm to forever remember with awe, Norway, legendary Cecilia Brækhus closed her brilliant career with ”A Signet Signature” unanimous decision victory triumph, over Slovenian Ema Kozin, capturing the WBC Super Welterweight title.
Brækhus, born in Colombia but raised in Norway, once again demonstrated her technical elegance, tactical intelligence, heart and soul that made her one of the Very Greatest female boxers of all time. From the chime of the opening bell, inspired, aspired, appealing and magnificently attired, she controlled the distance with a rock solid jab and managed the pace, adroitly and adeptly limiting and negating the attacks of the younger, longer-reach Kozin.
Over ten rounds, the “First Lady” of boxing showed composure, precision, and impeccable timing, but also unshakable determination plus total conviction. Kozin tried her utmost to respond with pressure and volume, but couldn`t. ”The First Lady of Boxing” Braekhus was regal, ruling each round with the authority inflicted by a scepter.
The judges’ scorecards said it all: 98-92, 97-93, and 96-94, all in favor of Brækhus, who raised her arms for the last time as a world champion. A supreme moment to savor for Eternity.
