The NASCAR playoffs continue with the opening race of the Round of 8, which takes the teams in two national series to Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Cup Series teams will both be in action this weekend as the remaining playoff drivers in each series attempt to lock up spots in the Championship 4. Joey Logano and AJ Allmendinger achieved this feat in last season’s playoff races.

Logano’s win, in particular, made crew chief Paul Wolfe the active leader in wins among crew chiefs. He broke his tie with Rodney Childers.

This weekend will feature a shortened schedule. Teams will be at the track on Friday, but they will not have any on-track sessions.
