MeisterSinger’s new Kaenos DLC editions build directly on the debut model from earlier this year (integrated steel bracelet, sport-chic geometry) and give it a bolder, graphic look. Two limited references bring a black DLC case, a luminous golden-yellow sandwich dial, and the first leather-strap fitment for the Kaenos line. And while a combination of yellow and black is not a stranger in MeisterSinger’s choice of colours, with this release, it is brought to the forefront like never before.
The 40 mm stainless-steel case of the new MeisterSinger Kaenos editions is fully coated in DLC for real scratch resistance and a uniform, inky sheen. Proportions remain balanced at 11.2 mm in height; a domed sapphire crystal and a four-screw sapphire display caseback keep the profile purposeful. Brushed surfaces are broken by crisp, polished accents, allowing the case to still catch the light. Water resistance is 100m.
The sunburst golden-yellow upper layer is precision-cut for numerals and markers, revealing a second layer beneath: white around the markers (night-time glow) and black behind the numerals (daytime contrast). The single, instrument-style hour hand keeps its Kaenos silhouette and gets a luminous fill to match. Two date executions set the variants apart: a large date at 6 o’clock on the Kaenos, and the brand’s open date ring on the Kaenos Open Date.
Two movements are in use here by MeisterSinger. The Kaenos uses the larger-diameter Sellita SW400 to push that large date out toward the dial edge; the Kaenos Open Date runs the SW200. Both are 28,800 vibrations/hour operated automatics with about 38 hours of power reserve, finished with custom black-and-gold rotors that tie the front and back together.
These Kaenos editions trade the integrated bracelet for a fitted, slightly padded, finely grained calf-leather strap that sits flush to the case. It comes in yellow to echo the dial, with an optional black strap available; the pin buckle is DLC-coated to complete the look. Each reference is limited to 50 pieces, individually numbered. Together with the steel series and the Alain Silberstein collaborations, they underline how far the Kaenos design can stretch without losing its one-hand, unhurried reading of time. Prices are EUR 2,790 for the Kaenos and EUR 3,090 for the Kaenos Open Date.
