Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson said Thursday that an executive of a resort casino hotel is willing to provide a venue for the supposed “charity boxing match” between Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Nicolas Torre III and Davao City acting Mayor Sebastian Duterte.

”A credible source told me last night, the CEO of a popular resort casino hotel, a well-known philanthropist is willing to open their ballroom for the ‘charity boxing match’ between Nick Torre and Baste Duterte,” said Lacson on X (formerly Twitter).

Lacson, a former PNP chief himself, also said that he is hoping that the bout will proceed.

“For the sake [of] the many poor flood victims, let’s do it!”

Torre on Wednesday accepted the challenge of Duterte to a fistfight, saying that it could be in the form of a “charity boxing match.”

This, after Duterte in a vlog uploaded on Youtube on Sunday, mentioned Torre and challenged him for a fistfight. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
