Argonauts vs. Roughriders

The top of the West Division had been firmly staked out by the Blue Bombers the past four seasons, but the Roughriders have a chance to change that on Friday.

Saskatchewan (11-4) is looking to claim the division for the first time since 2019, which would be just their third divisional title since 1976.

A win over Toronto (5-11) would also push the Riders one step closer to claiming the league’s best record for 2025, a distinction they haven’t held since 1976.

The Roughriders are coming off a 20-13 win over the Ottawa Redblacks in the nation’s capital in Week 18.

Trevor Harris threw for 341 yards with a touchdown, while receiver Dohnte Meyers had 158 receiving yards with a touchdown on six receptions.

The defending Grey Cup champion Argonauts had their playoff dreams dashed on Saturday when they fell 47-29 to the East-leading Tiger-Cats.

Toronto also lost starting quarterback Nick Arbuckle for the rest of the season when he injured his wrist early in the first quarter.

Jarret Doege took over and threw for 323 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions in the loss.

Dejon Brissett had 97 receiving yards while David Ungerer III and Kevin Mital also came up with touchdown catches.

This will be the first time the Argonauts missed the playoffs since the 2019 campaign.

Stampeders vs. Tiger-Cats

Hamilton is continuing to try to chase down the Roughriders for the best record in the CFL as they host Calgary on Saturday afternoon.

The Tiger-Cats hold the No. 1 spot in the East Division with a 10-6 record and are on the verge of their first division title since the 2019 season.

They are coming off a blowout victory over the Argonauts that saw Bo Levi Mitchell throw for 320 yards with four touchdowns and an interception.

Brendan O’Leary-Orange came up with 111 receiving yards with two touchdown catches

while Kiondre Smith also picked up 98 receiving yards.

Greg Bell had a strong game on the ground, adding 76 rushing yards with a touchdown.

The Stampeders (8-7) are trying to chase down the BC Lions for second place in the West Division and also try to hold off the Blue Bombers for third. Their chase took a big blow in Week 18 after they fell 38-24 to the Lions.

Vernon Adams Jr. threw for 303 yards with two touchdowns but also gave up three interceptions to his old team.

Erik Brooks had 92 receiving yards in the loss while Clark Barnes and Dominique Rhymes each had touchdown catches.

Blue Bombers vs. Elks

Winnipeg (8-7) continues to fight for second place in the West as they take on the Elks (6-9) to wrap up Week 19.

The Blue Bombers had a bye during Week 18 but trounced the Tiger-Cats 40-3 the week prior.

Star quarterback Zach Collaros returned to the lineup after missing two games with a head injury and showed why he’s one of the best in the CFL, throwing for 367 yards with a touchdown in the victory.

Canadian receiver Nic Demski had 114 receiving yards in the victory while Chris Streveler ran in for three rushing touchdowns.

The Elks are also coming off a bye week after they kept their playoff hopes alive with a 27-25 win over the Roughriders in Week 17.

Cody Fajardo threw for 305 passing yards in the win while Kaion Julien Grant had 89 receiving yards with a touchdown.

Running back Justin Rankin put on a show, running for 82 yards with a pair of touchdowns.

He was rewarded with a fresh multi-year contract this week that will keep in him the Green and Gold through the 2027 campaign.

Redblacks vs. Alouettes

The Alouettes clinched the second seed in the East and home field in the East semifinals when the Redblacks fell to the Roughriders in Week 18.

Montreal (8-7) has an outside shot of chasing down the Tiger-Cats for first in the East but are likely gearing up to host a western crossover team in the East semis when they host the Redblacks on Thanksgiving Monday.

They had a bye week in Week 18, but are coming off a huge 38-20 win over the Stampeders on Sept. 26 that saw quarterback Davis Alexander return from injury.

Alexander made his impact felt immediately, throwing for 350 yards with a touchdown pass to claim the victory with receiver Tyler Snead recording 115 receiving yards.

Quarterback Shea Patterson picked up three rushing touchdowns in short-yardage situations, while Cole Spieker and Tyson Philpot also filled the stat sheet with 81 and 76 receiving yards, respectively.

Crum ended up with 99 passing yards and a touchdown in the loss.
