RICHARDSON, Texas – The Concordia Texas men’s soccer team produced a pair of late goals to surge past the University of Dallas with a 3-1 victory. Ayden Hildreth recorded three points, while Edmond Elone & Bryan Rios also scored on Friday.

The Tornados were the superior team on the pitch as they outshot the Crusaders 14-1 with eight corner kicks compared to Dallas’ two shots.

With Concordia inside the box, a tap pass from Hildreth connected with a turning Elone for the score in the 20th minute. Coming out of the halftime break, Dallas netted an equalizer with just over 20 minutes remaining.

Just a minute later, a shot from the right wing by Julian McCord smacked off the top of the goal post and bounced to Hildreth who then powered the game winner. Keeping up the pressure, Mark Wilson fed Rios from the right side who sailed the ball past the keeper for the final touches in the 88th minute.

Concordia Texas will next head to Colorado Springs, Colorado to take on Colorado College this Sunday, October 12th. Kickoff is scheduled for 1pm CST.
