Colorado Hockey Now

Around The NHL
Detroit Hockey Now: Two summers ago, the Red Wings waited until after the UFA storm to trade for, and sign, Alex DeBrincat. He was the hottest scorer on the market at that point, and the Wings didn’t give up much to get him. DeBrincat has been solid with the Wings, averaging 33 goals and 36 assists in each of the last two seasons, without missing a game.
Now, Steve Yzerman finds himself in another position where he’s got assets and needs scoring help. With Robertson potentially on the market, perhaps Yzerman and his old friend Jim Nill could strike a deal. They wouldn’t be the only team pushing to acquire the superstar winger if Dallas decides to move him. So, do the Red Wings have the assets to acquire him? Or can another team offer more?
Pittsburgh Hockey Now:Â Speaking of the Red Wings, their former first-round draft pick Anthony Mantha has landed in Pittsburgh, coming off an ACL injury. Mantha admitted that the Pens had made offers for him in the past.
Philly Hockey Now: Matvei Michkov openly spoke about dump-and-chase hockey and how silly it first felt to be told to give up puck possession to gain the zone. Hey, nobody said the KHL To NHL adjustment would be easy.
New Jersey Hockey Now: It’s the part of the offseason where Yegor Chinakhov’s trade request is a big story. And I’m very much aware that I’m part of the reason why. Anyway, are the Devils a candidate to acquire him from CBJ?
Chicago Hockey Now:Â Check out the latest morning chirps, which includes the set arbitration dates for players that filed.
