CONWAY, Ark. – On the road to wrap up a two-game week, the Central Arkansas women’s soccer team is at Lipscomb on Sunday as the ASUN schedule moves through the halfway point. Kickoff in Nashville is set for 1 p.m.

The Bears (4-7-2, 1-3-2 ASUN) earned another point in the standings after earning a 1-1 draw at Austin Peay on Thursday. Caroline Billings scored her fifth goal of the season, and despite outshooting Austin Peay 21-12, the Bears just couldn’t find a second goal to get a win.

Sunday will need every bit of offense, as the Bears found out a couple of weeks ago. Last time Central Arkansas and Lipscomb faced off, it was the Bisons who found a 2-1 win, scoring late after Megan Moudy equalized in the second half on a PK. The tough part now is going to Nashville to try to get a result. Over the last 36 ASUN games that Lipscomb has hosted, there has only been one loss… that being against the Bears last season. A 3-2 victory that saw four of the five goals scored in the first 25 minutes of the match, then a late game-winner for the Bears.

Lipscomb (9-3-2, 5-0-1 ASUN) continues to have a good season, with six-straight matches without a loss. Last time out, North Alabama was able to battle to a 1-1 draw in Nashville, with an 83rd minute equalizer from Maddy Rhodes keeping the Bisons from taking a loss.

Since the beginning of conference play, Lipscomb has outscored its opponents 15-3 in six matches, and three players have at least as many goals by themselves as the team has allowed opponents to score. Overall, Hailey Johnson has seven goals this season, and Bella Carapazza is tied for team-lead with 16 points (five goals, six assists).

Kickoff against Lipscomb is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday. The match will be streamed on ESPN+, with live stats available online.
