Two suspects are wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a park in downtown Toronto on Friday morning.

Toronto police said two suspects approached an individual at the park near Queen Street West and Beverley Street.

The two suspects, one of whom allegedly produced a firearm and the other a knife, demanded the victim’s wallet, police said.

They ended up allegedly stealing a quantity of cash and the victim’s backpack. Police said the suspects then fled on bicycles.

He is wanted for possession of a firearm without holding a licence, robbery with a firearm, uttering threats, three counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

Police said they have not identified the other suspect, who is described as a Black male, five-foot-five with a medium build and short black hair, and was last seen wearing a grey shirt and black pants.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the two suspects is being asked to contact police at 416-808-5200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
