An NFL cheerleader was just surprised with a very special on-field wedding proposal.
The cheerleader, named Mika, was performing in between quarters during Colts’ 31-27 win over the Arizona Cardinals at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 12 when her boyfriend Spencer popped the question.
Video of the proposal, shared on the Colts Cheerleaders’ Instagram page, showed the moment Spencer walked through a tunnel of Mika’s fellow cheerleaders in a jersey that said “Marry Me” on the back before sneaking up behind his dancing girlfriend and getting down on one knee.
Mika — who has spent four years with the team, according to her online biography — dropped her pompoms and burst into tears as Spencer held out an engagement ring for her to accept.
Still sobbing, Mika dropped to her knees and nodded before slipping the ring on her finger. The newly-engaged cheerleader then held up her hand in excitement and showed off the ring to the camera before tearfully kissing her now-fiancé.
Mika’s fellow cheerleaders cheered her on before rushing in to hug both Mika and Spencer in celebration of their big accomplishment.
“Gonna be a hard routine to beat 💙💍 Congratulations, Mika and Spencer!” the Colts Cheerleaders wrote in the caption of their post.

Meanwhile, Mika celebrated the special moment with a post on her own Instagram page. “The most amazing day made possible by the most amazing people 💍💕,” she wrote alongside photos from the big proposal.
“BEST DAY EVER WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!! even though you’re impossible to keep a secret from lol,” wrote MacLaine Funsch, one of Mika’s fellow cheerleaders, in a comment on her post.

Mika and Spencer will celebrate two years together in December. They celebrated their first anniversary in 2024, according to a post on Mika’s Instagram page.
