The 26-year-old was injured late in the Mammoth’s overtime win against the Nashville Predators on Saturday night, an injury that appeared to affect his arm or shoulder after a hard hit.

Durzi has struggled to stay healthy, having missed 52 games last season after undergoing shoulder surgery just four games into the campaign. He recorded four goals and 11 points in 30 games for Utah last year.

In two games this season, the Mississauga, Ont., native has one assist while averaging 18:56 of ice time.

Durzi’s career-high in games played came in 2023-24 when he suited up for 76 outings with the Arizona Coyotes. He had nine goals and 32 assists that season.

His absence leaves a significant hole in the Mammoth’s top-four defensive pairings early in their second NHL season.
