WASHINGTON (TNND) — A Department of Homeland Security official fired back at singer Chappell Roan after she yelled “f**k ICE” during a concert in California.

Last week, Roan was performing in Pasadena, California where she yelled “F**K ICE” resulting in cheers from the audience.

Assistant Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin responded to Roan’s comment in a statement to TMZ.

“Pink Pony Club is good,” she told the outlet. “Pedophiles are bad. That’s who we’re getting off of our streets. Get a grip.”

“Pink Pony Club” is one of Roan’s hit songs.

Despite the pushback from McLaughlin, Roan said she will continue to perform across the U.S. in order to “bring queer people joy,” according to The Mirror US.

She said she almost didn’t tour in the U.S. and decided to do so at the last minute.

“This job is so awesome,” she told the crowd. “Thank you for making it awesome.”

Part of President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign was cracking down on illegal immigration and mass deportations.

Under Trump, the National Guard has been sent to different states in order to help crack down on crime and guard Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities.

ICE raids have also taken place in different U.S. cities, including Chicago, Illinois.
