Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV’s British heavyweight title fight is set to be postponed following an injury to the latter.

The pair were set to headline a BOXXER show on October 25 at Derby’s Vaillant Live Arena in what would have been the first event to be shown on the BBC in 20 years.

However, TKV sustained a rib injury during training camp that has ruled him out of the original fight date.

BOXXER are now scrambling to reschedule the contest, with November 29 understood to be in play.

If the date gets the green flag, then it would lead to a scheduling clash with Ben Whittaker’s Matchroom Boxing debut against Germany’s Benjamin Gavazi in Birmingham.

Whittaker previously plied his trade with Ben Shalom’s BOXXER, but jumped ship to Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom earlier this month following the expiration of his contract.

BOXXER could avoid the clash by finding a replacement for TKV to ensure the event still goes ahead as planned.

The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) have confirmed that any rearranged bout would still be for the vacant Lonsdale belt.

However, finding a credible opponent on such short notice is proving difficult.

Going up against Whittaker’s return would also likely reap better rewards than their current clash with Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley – a bout which holds massive implications for the glamour division.

Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV’s recent form

TKV (8-2) is coming off a controversial knockout loss to David Adeleye for the British heavyweight title in April.

Adeleye caught TKV with a heavy shot well after the referee had called break, leading to an eventual stoppage in the sixth round.

The BBBofC went on to order a rematch after TKV’s team launched an appeal.

However, Adeleye chose to vacate his title and fight Filip Hrgovic instead.

As a result, Clarke vs TKV was ordered for the vacant strap.

Clarke (9-1-1) has previously competed for the British title on two occasions against Wardley.

The first of those came in March 2024, with the bout ending in a draw before Wardley blasted away Clarke in the opening stanza seven months later.

Clarke has since returned to winning ways with a blistering stoppage of Ebenezer Tetteh in April, and is now being given a third crack at domestic boxing’s biggest prize.
