KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Western Michigan women’s tennis team heads to the University of Illinois for the 2025 ITA Midwest Regional, beginning on Thursday.
The Broncos open the tournament with the Singles Round of 64 on Thursday morning. Julia Frazier plays against Bowling Green’s Kiera Taylor at 10 a.m. ET. Sophomore Marielou Baudouin drew Eastern Michigan’s Regina Mendez at the same time, while sophomore Frida Weijerman will battle Michigan State’s Hanna Tsitavets at 11:30 a.m. Senior Polina Khotko has been paired against Northwestern’s Marelie Raath, also an 11:30 a.m. match.
Senior Audrey Smitek will play Illinois State’s Sophie Marie Lowe, while Sienna Osborne and Ayana Yaguchi wrap up singles action with matches at 1 p.m. Osborne takes on Michigan’s Ava Bruno, while Yaguchi is paired up against Malika Kabdesh from Northern Illinois.
The doubles pairings are still to-be-determined.
