The Reading Space, in collaboration with the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library, is hosting a special evening on November 5 featuring ‘Canada’s Indiana Jones’
The Reading Space, in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library, is pleased to present An Evening with Dr. Adam Shoalts, a special book launch event taking place on Wednesday November 5 from 7:00-9:00pm at the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library, North Branch.
Dr. Adam Shoalts is a historian, archaeologist, geographer, and bestselling author whose work has been widely celebrated in Canada and beyond.
Recognized by Canadian Geographic as one of the nation’s “greatest living explorers” and described by the Toronto Star as “Canada’s Indiana Jones,” Shoalts has undertaken numerous solo expeditions across some of the most remote regions of North America. His previous books, including Alone Against the North and Beyond the Trees, have captivated readers with stories of endurance, wilderness survival, and exploration.
His latest work, Vanished Beyond the Map: The Mystery of Lost Explorer Hubert Darrell, continues this tradition, delving into one of the great unsolved disappearances in Canadian exploration history. Vanished Beyond the Map released to book stores on October 7.
The evening will include a presentation with Dr. Shoalts, followed by an audience Q&A and book signing. Copies of Vanished Beyond the Map will be available for purchase at the event.
