Asus offers a new monitor with an extremely high 8K resolution. The ProArt PA32KCX also features a modern mini-LED backlight and should stand out with its high brightness. A colorimeter is built-in as well.
We have already reported on the ProArt Display 8K PA32KCX back in 2024, and now Asus has finally announced the actual launch window. Specifically, the monitor is set to launch in October, although no actual date has been confirmed for different markets and regions. Either way, this display will be anything but cheap since Asus is obviously targeting professional customers with this screen.
The monitor measures 32 inches and has 7680 x 4320 pixels, which is an extremely high resolution. This should result in very sharp images, and higher-resolution text also results in better readability according to Asus. The 8K monitor also features a mini-LED backlight that is divided into 4,032 zones and can be adjusted very accurately. The ProArt PA32KCX can also hit a brightness of up to 1,200 nits, while 1,000 nits can be maintained continuously.
The new Asus monitor should also meet professional requirements in terms of color representation. Asus promotes 95% coverage of the Adobe RGB color space, the DCI-P3 color space should be covered by 97%. The color accuracy is Delta E < 1. A motorized colorimeter is built into the ProArt monitor and allows the detection and adjustment of colors.
Unsurprisingly, Asus promotes a large range of additional features. A USB port is available, as are two Thunderbolt 4 ports, DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI. Thunderbolt 4 can power and charge devices with up to 96 watts. Furthermore, the monitor supports PbP and PiB for working with multiple sources, while a KVM switch is integrated and can be useful for using a keyboard and mouse with different devices. Last but not least, a hood is supposed to prevent reflections.
