An Ajax man is facing a long list of charges after police allege he used “deception, coercion and control” in trafficking a 16-year-old girl in the sex trade.

Members of the Toronto Police Service Human Trafficking Unit began investigating the matter in September.

Investigators say that the victim was forced to take sexualized pictures which were distributed online.

She was then transported to a hotel where she was forced to meet clients for sexual services, police say.

“The money earned by the victim was given to the accused and was kept by him,” a news release issued on Friday notes.

Police say that the suspect was arrested on Thursday following the execution of search warrants at an address in Ajax.

Rocchino Perrotto, 53, of Ajax, is facing 11 charges, including forcible confinement, sexual assault causing bodily harm and trafficking a person under 18.

Police say that investigators believe there could be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
