Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport returns to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend for the United Rentals 250, fielding three strong Chevrolet’s ready to take on the unpredictable 2.66-mile tri-oval superspeedway.
Jeb Burton will pilot the Sportsman Channel No. 27, while Blaine Perkins will climb into the Werner No. 31, and team owner Jordan Anderson will strap back into the Bommarito.com No. 32 for a part-time start.
With the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) Playoffs heating up and Talladega’s reputation for chaos ever-present, the team enters the weekend focused on execution, patience, and seizing opportunity when it counts.
The United Rentals 250 is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, with qualifying set for 10:30 a.m. CT (11:30 a.m. ET), and the green flag slated to wave at 3:00 p.m. CT (4:00 p.m. ET) on The CW Network, with live radio coverage on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Ch. 90).
The 94-lap, 250.04-mile event is expected to be another wild card in the postseason playoffs, where drafting partners, pit strategy, and survival instincts often decide the outcome at the sport’s longest oval.
For Jeb Burton, Talladega holds special meaning. It was here that Burton earned his first NXS win (2021) and repeated for Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport’s first career NXS victory (2023). Earlier this season, Burton appeared to take another win at Talladega before NASCAR’s review of a last-lap caution relegated him to second place. Despite the heartbreak, Burton has been a model of consistency throughout 2025, avoiding DNFs and collecting seven top-10 finishes entering this weekend.
“Talladega is always a rollercoaster — one lap you’re in it, one moment you’re not,” said Burton.
“I feel like we have a car capable of finishing strong. After what happened earlier in the season here, we’re hungry to prove ourselves.”
Blaine Perkins continues to build chemistry with Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport in his first full season with the team. His spring race at Talladega showed flashes of potential, running inside the top 10 before being caught in a late-race incident yet recovering for a solid seventh place finish.
“Talladega is one of those weeks where anything can happen. My goal is to be smart, stay out of trouble, and maybe surprise a few people when it matters.” said Perkins.
Perkins and the No. 31 Werner team will aim to stay positioned near the front of the pack and capitalize on late-race opportunities.
Jordan Anderson will make a rare driving appearance this weekend in his return to Talladega since his fiery accident during the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series fall race in 2022, Anderson brings valuable superspeedway insight that strengthens the organization’s overall performance.
“I’ve always ran well at Talladega. I’m looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and earning some redemption,” Anderson said.
“I’ve got full confidence in our Chevrolet’s. Our superspeedway program is strong, if we execute and avoid calamity, there’s no reason all three cars can’t be mixing it up late.”
Anderson’s leadership has been pivotal in Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport’s growth, turning a once-grassroots program into a multi-car Xfinity Series contender.
Strategically, Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport focus will center on survival and execution. With the draft often producing massive pack racing and late cautions, the team’s crew chiefs are preparing for flexible pit calls and coordinated drafting among teammates. Track position entering the final laps will be critical, with the goal of having multiple cars in the top 10 as the race winds down.
Talladega has long been a place of triumph and heartbreak, and Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport knows both sides well. With Burton’s proven superspeedway skill, Perkins’ steady growth, and Anderson’s hands-on leadership, the organization is poised to make another statement on one of NASCAR’s biggest stages. As the green flag drops on the United Rentals 250, the Statesville-based team is ready to chase the momentum that could define the closing stretch of its 2025 campaign.
