Get ready for a TikTok storytime for the ages. Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are set to star in A24’s The Drama. Written and directed by Dream Scenario’s Kristoffer Borgli, the film will be about a couple whose love story “takes an unexpected turn before their big day,” per the logline. It’ll be one of two (or maybe three, if the Dune 3 casting rumors are true) collabs between Rpattz and Zendaya in 2026. Here’s everything we know about The Drama — who’s bringing the drama, when are they being dramatic, and who’s adding color commentary along the way.
Besides Zendaya and Pattinson, the film co-star star Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie and Hailey Gates. Will Alana Haim’s hair be as iconic as her bowl cut in One Battle After Another? Only time (and the trailer) will tell. Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen, and Tyler Campellone of Square Peg are producing.
It’s not “Who TF Did I Marry?” the motion picture, but it sounds close. A previous writeup in The Hollywood Reporter made the movie sound like a thinly-fictionalized version of Love Is Blind, with “unexpected revelations” derailing the wedding, and saying the film “tackles the blindness of love.” Maybe they followed each other on Instagram before getting together? Borgli’s last film, Dream Scenario, took an oblique look at viral fame. Will this movie be similarly terminally online? The title suggests so.
A24 is eyeing an Easter Weekend release, bringing The Drama to theaters April 3, 2026. It’s counter-programming to The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Both Pattinson and Zendaya will be busy little bees before then. Euphoria season 3 premieres around that time, with The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day closely following. Speaking of The Odyssey, Pattinson is in that, too. Hope they have fun doing back-to-back junkets together!
