The Diplomat returned with Season 3 this week, and it picks up right where the Season 2 finale ended, with Kate (Keri Russell) accusing Vice President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) of hatching a terrorist plot, but all of that doesn’t matter now because the president is dead — with Hal (Rufus Sewell) inadvertently killing him — and Grace is now the leader of the free world. With this new season, Janney has been upped to a recurring character from a guest star, while Bradley Whitford joins as Todd Penn, Grace’s husband. Two people in a car, one wearing sunglasses and a suit, the other with a serious expression

That’s right, The Diplomat has staged one of the best The West Wing reunions ever, with Janney and Whitford reuniting in the White House 19 years after The West Wing concluded. And, with the show already being renewed for a Season 4, Janney and Whitford have been upped to series regulars. Honestly, if you’re a fan of TV dramas, the combined force of Russell, Janney, and Whitford, who have starred in two of the best political dramas of all time in The Americans and The West Wing, The Diplomat is the perfect thing for you.Two people embrace warmly in a softly lit room with a lamp and chairs in the background

Boots — watch for: A heartfelt coming-of-age comedyA young person in a military uniform stands facing an officer in a training facility, appearing attentive and serious

Streaming on Netflix

Set in the 1990s, Boots is a new series that follows Cameron Cope (Miles Heizer), a closeted gay American teenager, who impulsively enlists in the United States Marine Corps alongside his best friend, Ray McAffey (Liam Oh). Boots wasn’t initially on my radar for this fall, but it has stolen my heart, led by a mesmerizing performance by Heizer, who I’ve loved since Parenthood. It’s a refreshingly funny coming-of-age story that perfectly balances serious topics, especially given the story’s setting, while also making it humorous and relatable. Two people in military uniforms with short haircuts stand in a crowded room, looking ahead attentively

Basically, the series charmed me. If you end up binge-watching the whole series, I highly recommend this interview with Heizer, where he talks about his own coming-out story and how important Boots is to him. And, if you want even more, the show is actually based on Greg Cope White’s memoir titled The Pink Marine.Marine recruits in yellow "USMC" shirts running together on a training track

Glen Powell and the Chad Powers cast swung by to play a game of Who’s Who to see how well they know each other, and so we could get to know this hilarious cast a little better, too. From who’s most likely to cause a castmate to break character while filming to who is most like their character, the Chad Powers cast showed they have just as much fun off set as they do on it. We also tested their knowledge on their fellow cast members’ previous roles, like how one of them starred as Franken Girl on Wizards of Waverly Place, LOL. It’s so fun, and you can watch the full video below:Text saying "The reviews are in" with a bright burst background

These are some of my favorite things from my FYP, feed, and more:

If you hear crying, it’s probably me, because I still have not emotionally recovered from Dedication Night on Dancing with the Stars this week. From Boy Meets World and The Parent Trap reunions to dances between family, like Dylan Efron and his little sister, it was an emotional night in the ballroom. However, nothing compared to Robert Irwin and Witney Carson’s contemporary dance to “You’ll Be in My Heart” by Phil Collins, which Robert dedicated to his mom, Terri Irwin. Two dancers perform an energetic routine on "Dancing with the Stars" stage. With Robert explaining, “I want her to know how proud my dad would be of her.” The whole ballroom was weeping. I was sobbing on my couch. Their dance was stunning and should’ve earned a higher score. So, here are the best reactions to Robert’s touching tribute:Dancers on a TV show perform a lift; a man in a flowing shirt jumps, partnered by a woman in a skirt. Also, Netflix revealed the Bridgerton Season 4 release date!!! The next season will drop on Jan. 29, 2026, with the first four episodes, followed by the second part on Feb. 26, 2026. So, yes, Netflix is still (annoyingly) splitting things up into parts, but new Bridgerton is coming so soon. This season follows Benedict (Luke Thompson) as he crosses paths with Sophie (Yerin Ha), aka the mysterious Lady in Silver, at his mother’s masquerade ball.Masked couple in elegant attire faces each other at a grand ballroom, surrounded by dancing guests wearing historical costumes

This is probably my favorite book in Julia Quinn’s series, so I am so excited for this season. And I’m not alone; everyone is already freaking out, just based on the date announcement trailer:Split-screen image: Left shows a person at the bottom of a grand staircase; right shows two people in elegant masquerade attire. What is the best animated movie of all time?Personally, my favorite animated movie of all time is How to Train Your Dragon. In fact, I love it so much that it’s in my Letterboxd Top 4. I am utterly charmed by Hiccup and Toothless, and I love the story. Plus, I think How to Train Your Dragon has one of the greatest scores of all time — animated film or not. I get chills every single time “Test Drive” by John Powell kicks in as Hiccup and Toothless successfully fly together for the first time. Chills. While I think the first one is superior, I even enjoy the other two movies in the trilogy. All around, a great animated movie franchise.A person riding a large, flying dragon over a scenic, rocky coastline with tall rock pillars in the background
