Broadland Radio was launched at the start of June and features several beloved presenters who have appeared on other local stations.
Among the hosts are Rob Chandler and Stephen Bumfrey, who recently announced he would be taking a step back from his weekday shows following a cancer diagnosis.

“We’ve had a strong start,” Bob Norman, managing director of the station, said. “We’re into the tens of thousands for listeners now.
“We don’t have an exact number, but we are also finding that the engagement and the number of people texting in are increasing.

“However, it is vital that we do manage to break even as a station, and that is where more of an emphasis on the commercial side of things will come in.”
Earlier this month, Chandler served a short suspension after being reprimanded for playing Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You – more than two and a half months before Christmas Day.
