It’s always fun to learn random facts about animals, and viewers were in for quite a treat when Alexis, @wildlforlife.alexis on Instagram, posted a video of what it looks like when a beaver runs, and it’s cracking everybody up!

Alexis is the founder of Wild For Life Inc., where she leads wildlife rehabilitation and rescue efforts for animals in need. She recently shared a video of five things about beavers that you probably don’t know, but it was the footage of their beaver named Quiver that had us all in stitches!

Oh, what we wouldn’t give to hold a baby beaver! But it was the beaver running that stole our hearts. Alexis shared in the video’s caption, “I couldn’t wait to share this clip of Quiver running. No matter how many times I see them run, it cracks me up every single time!” We can all see why!

Commenters’ Funny Reactions to Watching Beavers Run

Viewers left hundreds of comments about watching Quiver run, and some of them were just as funny as seeing it. Like @mrtubes, who shared, “So a beaver could beat me on the swim, but I’d be faster on the run. So in a triathlon, it would come down to which of us is the better cyclist.”

That left commenters cracking up and leaving some funny replies. @jessoceanwoods said, “I don’t think they make a bike for legs that short. You got this!!”, to which @saaaashhhab replied, “But the beaver could flap its tail behind itself to propel the bicycle forward.” @luckyme_jt added, “The tail might hit the back wheel, though. Just like slap slap slap for MILES.”

@myhousewokeuplike this shared, “I was absolutely NOT prepared for the running LOL! I hysterically cried because I love them so much!” @ibmfk79 agreed, “I cannot get over how stinking cute the running is!” @janet_reedy added, “Thank you for including slo-mo of the running! Epic!”

We laughed when @mrs_hildy2019 shared, “Well now I can say that I’ve seen a potato run!” On that note, @maya_cev asked, “Are they naturally round? Or do you feed them a lot?!” Alexis replied, “They are naturally very round. We watch wild beavers on our trail cameras, and they are equally as rotund as the ones here at the rescue!” They really do look like adorable furry potatoes!
