Paige Bueckers is rallying behind one of her fiercest rivals – who’s now become a major crossover sensation in the sports world.
The Dallas Wings guard, whose team is once again at a pivotal juncture, publicly lauded Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese after Reese made history as the first professional athlete to strut her stuff in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, a landmark event that brought together the worlds of sports and fashion on an international platform.
On social media, Bueckers, the 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year and No. 1 overall draft pick, responded to Reese’s post from the show with a straightforward comment: “Strutted your stuff,” while Reese candidly shared her thoughts on trading her basketball career for full-time modeling.

In a chat with ‘E! Online,’ Reese reflected on the experience, describing it as a moment she had always dreamed of.
“It means everything to me,” Reese expressed. “I’m just really excited to be here. There are so many great people and women who have done this. I get to sit in the room with the top, top, top models. Just being here and being in this moment – I’m grateful and graceful and I’m really gonna enjoy it.”
The 23-year-old forward emphasized that the opportunity signified more than just a personal achievement.
“I’m not just doing this for me,” Reese added. “I’m doing it for everyone who looks like me. And know that you can be anyone you want to be in this world. People are going to tell you ‘no.’ You’re going to get a thousand ‘no’s, but that one ‘yes’ is going to get you in the door and let you be whoever you want to be.”
Reese’s words seemed to strike a chord with Bueckers, who had her own standout first season.
Following a stellar college career at UConn, Bueckers made a smooth transition to the WNBA, topping Dallas in points and helping breathe new life into the Wings organization.
