Jacob Fatu WWE Injury Update

WWE

A new injury update has emerged on Jacob Fatu after he was removed from his planned match on WWE SmackDown this past Friday.

Fatu was set to face Drew McIntyre in a WWE Championship #1 contender’s match to determine Cody Rhodes’ challenger at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1.

Instead, Fatu was attacked backstage and McIntyre ended up facing Rhodes in a title match, which ended when Rhodes got himself disqualified by using his title belt as a weapon.

An update has now emerged on Jacob Fatu, with his absence reportedly due to dental work, which could potentially rule him out of WWE Survivor Series where he was planned for the men’s WarGames match.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported:

“Jacob is having dental work done, so he’s gonna be out for a while.

“It’s not gonna be a long time. My impression was before the end of the year, but probably missing WarGames so it’s another person out of WarGames.

“The WarGames is freakin’ jinxed.”

After WWE Crown Jewel last week, it emerged that another name planned for WarGames, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, had suffered an injury in his match against Cody Rhodes, seemingly ruling him out of the equation as well.

In the latest update on Rollins, Meltzer said:

“He’s having surgery, that’s 100%. When they open up, they’ll find out – they don’t know all the damage in his shoulder, and they will find out the damage when they open him up.

“When they do the surgery, they’ll have an idea.

“I guess the best way to put it is they hope he’ll be okay for WrestleMania.

“There’s no way of knowing one way or the other today whether he will be or not. But he’s out for months for sure.

Another potential question mark for WWE Survivor Series and the WarGames matches comes on the women’s side, as Rhea Ripley suffered a broken nose during the live events in Japan.
