Playing Styles & Prediction
Jones’ last two tournaments have been decent with runs to the quarter-finals in Guadalajara and the semi-finals in Sao Paulo. But that was last month, and she returns to the tour after a bit of a break.
It has not been a great year for Wang, who win here in 2023, and made the quarter-final last year. She has bolstered her results with more solid performances at ITF level tournaments, and in the Asian swing she has had just one main draw win.
Jones comes in certainly as a higher seed and is a slight favourite but there is a log on the line for Wang.
