The Walkley Foundation has announced the finalists for the 70th annual Walkley Awards for Excellence in Journalism.

The works longlisted for the Walkley Book Award are:

All Women Want (Alyx Gorman, HarperCollins)
A Bunker in Kyiv (John Lyons, ABC Books)
The Chairman’s Lounge (Joe Aston, Scribner)
Great Game On: The Contest for Central Asia and Global Supremacy (Geoff Raby, Melbourne University Publishing)
The Holy and the Broken (Ittay Flescher, HarperCollins)
Meadow’s Law (Quentin McDermott, ABC Books)
Mean Streak (Rick Morton, Fourth Estate)
Näku Dhäruk The Bark Petitions (Clare Wright, Text).

The shortlist will be announced on 6 November, with the winners to be announced on 27 November.
