GLEN COVE, N.Y. – The Belmont men’s golf team is in 12th place after day one of the Nassau Intercollegiate held Monday at Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, New York.
Belmont carded rounds of 298 and 309 on Monday to finish the day in 12th place at 607. Rhode Island leads the event at 577, with Army West Point in second place at 583.
The Bruins are led by junior Grey Goff, who is tied for 29th place at 150. He shot rounds of 71 and 79. Goff is 10 strokes back of the individual leader, Aidan O’Donovan of Rhode Island (140).
Freshman Charlie Spiller and junior Chris Harpum are each tied for 36th place at 151. Spiller posted rounds of 73 and 78, while Harpum carded a 75 and 76.
Senior Conner Brown is tied for 54th place at 155, while freshman Jack Doyle is tied for 65th at 162.
The third and final round is set to begin Tuesday morning at 6:42am CT. Belmont will tee off from the 10th hole from 7:42-8:30am CT. Live scoring can be found at BelmontBruins.com.
