Christopher Bell will be donning a new look while attempting to punch his ticket to the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs Championship 4.
On Sunday, Bell secured an eighth-place finish in the YellaWood 500 — which set an astonishing record in the NextGen era — thereby providing him with a 37-point cushion above the cut-line. On the heels of the positive afternoon, he heaped praise on teammate Chase Briscoe, who emerged victorious at Talladega Superspeedway.
Bell will look to find similar success in the Xfinity 500, which could make or break his chances of making it to the season finale. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver is pulling out all the stops for the pivotal race at Martinsville Speedway, recently debuting his new paint scheme in partnership with COOFANDY, a men’s apparel company.
In order to commemorate its 10-year anniversary, COOFANDY signed on to be a primary sponsor of Bell for one event this season. The unfamiliar No. 20 Toyota livery features a dark turquoise base with a touch of orange and white, as well as the COOFANDY logo displayed on the hood and sides.
“We look forward to helping COOFANDY celebrate their 10-year anniversary and introducing their brand of clothing to our fans,” JGR team owner Joe Gibbs said in an official statement. “They have an outfit to help inspire confidence for any occasion, and our race team shares a lot in common with COOFANDY, as we both pursue excellence and have a passion for winning.”

As part of the agreement, Bell will additionally serve as a global ambassador for COOFANDY. “I’m excited for our partnership with the COOFANDY brand,” he said. “Being confident is definitely an important part of being successful on the racetrack, and COOFANDY’s Dress The Win campaign encourages confidence in men for every one of life’s important moments.”
For now, Bell’s utmost focus will be on giving JGR a three-in-four shot in the winner-take-all finale at Phoenix Raceway. Briscoe earned a spot in the Championship 4 following his win in the YellaWood 500, while Denny Hamlin automatically advanced upon coasting down victory lane at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 12.
“It’s so going to come down to Martinsville,” Bell said. “First of all, I want to say congratulations to Chase and the 19 team. They’re doing an amazing job. Obviously, our company is hitting on all cylinders. What a great playoff run, great two weeks to get two of them locked in.
DON’T MISS:
“Plus 37 seems really good, but you’ve got to expect a bottom-four winner. Any of us could win at Martinsville. It’s going to be a battle all day next week.”
Briscoe, for one, would love to see Bell advance. “Yeah, I mean, truthfully I hope that happens,” he told reporters. “It would be just a huge thing for our company to have a three-in-four shot.
“I feel good about Christopher going to Martinsville, too. Hopefully he can get in. Hopefully all three of us can be going for it. That would be a pretty special thing. Hopefully we don’t screw it up like the end of Kansas, and one of us gets it.”
