Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is stirring excitement online as she gears up for her next “Unapologetically Angel” podcast episode, this time featuring Grammy-winning artist Ciara, who is also the wife of New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson.
On X, the official “Unapologetically Angel” account posted a photo of Ciara with a teaser caption reading, “Ask Ciara anything.”
Reese followed up by writing, “Excited for this one! Drop them questions below.”
The post quickly gained attention, with fans filling the comments section with questions and reactions for the R&B superstar.
Angel Reese’s Growing Confidence as Host
Before hosting high-profile guests like Ciara, Reese admitted she once struggled with doing interviews. In a recent “Unapologetically Angel” episode with sports journalist Taylor Rooks, she shared how intimidating the media could be for her.
“Even before the game, I’m terrified of what the media is about to ask,” Reese said. “It could be the nicest question, but it’s going to get flipped or put into a different light.”
The 23-year-old forward revealed that she often worried her words might be misunderstood or taken out of context. That fear even led her to skip postgame interviews in the past, sometimes choosing to pay fines rather than face reporters.

“For me, the media is really scary,” Reese admitted. “That’s why I have never been on anybody else’s podcast. I’m scared to do stuff like that because I know how things could get flipped.”
But over time, Reese has found her own voice. Launching “Unapologetically Angel” gave her full control over her story, something she says helps her stay authentic while still opening up about real issues.
Ciara Joins the Conversation
Ciara’s upcoming appearance marks one of the most high-profile guests yet on Reese’s show. Known for her hit songs like “1, 2 Step” and “Level Up,” Ciara has also built a public image centered on confidence, family and empowerment.
The timing of the episode is also interesting, as Ciara has recently been in the spotlight supporting her husband Russell Wilson through his first season with the New York Giants.
Though Wilson hasn’t had the best start on the field, Ciara has been sharing glimpses of their life on Instagram, including a few cozy photos where Wilson left flirty comments like, “Love you Mrs. mine 😍.”
Reese’s platform has grown since she entered the WNBA as the No. 7 overall pick in 2024. Now in her second season with the Sky, she’s not only making headlines on the court but also creating her own lane off it.
