More than 100 students from the Sudbury, Manitoulin, and Sault Ste. Marie regions braved cool and cloudy conditions on Friday, Oct. 10, at the Grand Nord Mountain Bike Race, held at Kivi Park.

Riders tackled a challenging 5 km course, completing it two or three times depending on their category, for a total distance ranging from 10 to 15 km. Three divisions were represented: Novice, Junior, and Senior — each showcasing participants’ endurance, strategy, and determination.

“It’s incredible to see our students push themselves with such passion and energy! A true example of determination,” said Dan Beaulne, race organizer for the Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord.

The Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord would like to warmly thank the organizers, volunteers, coaches, and Kivi Park for their essential support. Congratulations to all students for their commitment, outstanding effort, and exemplary sportsmanship!
