A new update has been made on Swerve Strickland‘s health and timetable for a potential AEW return.

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Strickland has continued to heal up and recover from a surgery he had due to a lingering meniscus injury. Sapp notes that currently, the hope is that a “winter return” is possible, barring any setbacks.

The report goes on to mention that December is a “possibility” for a return. However, the report mentions that nothing has been set in stone by AEW. Strickland underwent surgery in August for a meniscus issue that’s been plaguing him since his days in WWE in 2019. As a result, he was written off the show.

Although no official timetable has been made, AEW does have some big shows coming up at the end of the year. Whether or not Strickland can make them is unknown. When he does, though, the star will undoubtedly earn a huge ovation when he comes back.
