WWE Star Undergoing Character Change

WWE

It appears a WWE star is set to undergo something of a character change after going to “therapy” on tonight’s episode of Evolve.

Since the brand debuted in March, NXT‘s Wendy Choo has been consistently featured on Evolve during a lengthy absence from NXT TV, where she hasn’t had a match since October 2024.

On tonight’s episode, she was in therapy, and was asked which words come to mind when she thinks about who she is. She replied:

“Confused. Invisible. Lonely.”

When asked what loneliness feels like for her, she said:

“I think for so long I just tried to stand out. I wanted to be different. Along that way, I lost my identity.

“I feel disassociated all the time. I feel disconnected from everyone – including myself.”

When asked how she’s been coping with the feelings of disconnection, she replied:

“I stopped talking. I was trying to hide behind a silence. I was hurt. All the frustrations, all the disappointments, I can’t keep carrying all of it.”

She was asked if she could imagine a future where she feels more understood, and what that would look like. She said:

“I don’t know.”

Wendy Choo has been with WWE NXT since early 2020, making her one of the longest tenured talents in the developmental system at this point.

She was first introduced on television as Mei Ying in December 2020, before being repackaged and redebuting as Wendy Choo a year later.
