If you’re a fan of “The Kitchen” you’ll sadly be bidding a fond adieu to the popular show as the Food Network announces the weekend series is coming to a close after 40 seasons.

What’s more, recent comments on Food Network’s Instagram show an outpouring of sadness and gratitude when news was made public about “The Kitchen” being canceled.

Fans are also expressing their disappointment and sharing memories, while fellow Food Network stars like Bobby Flay and Marc Murphy have posted heartwarming tributes to the show’s hosts and crew, calling their run “incredible” and “iconic.”

“After 40 unforgettable seasons with over 500 episodes, #TheKitchen will officially come to an end on Saturday, December 13th,” reads a post from the Food Network on Instagram,” as reported on al.com

“We’re immensely grateful to our hosts, crew, guests, and most of all, our loyal viewers for 10+ incredible years. Thank you for tuning in, cooking along, and being part of our community. Please join us for one final holiday season together in #TheKitchen,” al.com further noted.

INSTAGRAM COMMENTS FROM THOSE WHO APPEARED ON THE SHOW

Jeff Mauro posted an emotional reflection on his time on the show, where he noted that he “didn’t expect to feel this sad.” He also expressed his gratitude for the friendships he made and the experiences he had. In the comments on his post, fellow host Sunny Anderson commented, “Luv ya, bruh!! We DID that!! Can’t say we didn’t!”.Katie Lee Biegel shared the news on her Instagram Stories, writing that the show was “the greatest professional honor of my life” and that she would be “forever grateful”.Alex Guarnaschelli, a recurring guest host, received praise from Mauro in the comments of his farewell post.Marc Murphy, a frequent guest on the show, commented on the official Food Network Instagram post, stating, “Guys, congrats on an incredible show — one of my favorites to watch and to be part of. You’re all legends.” 

The series premiered on Jan. 4, 2014 and even continued throughout the COVID -19 pandemic.

The show has produced more than 490 episodes and 14 specials.
